Crafting a Revolution

I spent the day creating body positive measuring tapes (An amazing idea thought up by the one and only Marilyn Wann), and took some self-portraits of myself for the Rad Fatties Project. I’m in the process of creating a ‘Fat Rights Tool kit” that the measuring tape will be in, along with a great introduction to fat rights and suggestions for books, blogs and other places that a person new to the movement can use as an introduction to our community.

If it turns out the way I want it, the Fat Rights Tool Kits should be put up on my etsy and all of the proceeds will be going to Love Your Body Detroit.

    • No prob, Marilyn is going to be putting up a DIY on her website when she relaunches it. But they are super simple, you only need two pieces of ribbon, stamps, a sharpie, and fabric ink. Although I think you should wait and get the super awesome Fat Rights Tool Kit! I’m really excited about them.

  1. Wow, the picture of you concentrating on the sewing machine looks like you are inventing a high-tech futuristic something amazing, and the futuristic spaceship door in the photo with the cat (who is beautiful btw) just adds to the effect!

  2. I am so excited about these tool kits and such. Marilyn is always full of ideas and never ceases to amaze me. Can’t wait for more pics of the completed kits, but I love you in that green top! Too cute! ❤
